The Dolphins quarterback left Sunday’s 31-28 win over the Jets in the third quarter with a chest injury. After initially saying he was questionable to return, the Dolphins ruled him out and fear he may have cracked ribs. NFL Media reported Sunday that Cutler will get X-rays and an MRI on Monday to determine the significance of his injury.
Game Johnny Bower Jersey Cutler was injured early in the third quarter before being taken to the locker room and replaced by backup Matt Moore, who last played in Miami’s AFC Wild Card loss to the Steelers last season. Cutler was 12 of 16 for 138 yards with two touchdowns and one interception before exiting early.
The Steelers beat the Bengals in an important divisional win. In Los Angeles, the Broncos faltered against the Chargers and allowed the AFC West to get more interesting. The Dolphins completed a comeback over the Jets and improved to 4-2 on the season. In one of the most exciting games of the day, the Bills forced a fumble in the final three minutes and defeated the Buccaneers with a last-minute field goal.
After the owners finished, Troy Vincent stood up. He was Jaccob Slavin Youth jersey offended by McNair’s characterization of the players as inmates. Vincent said that in all his years of playing in the NFL — during which, he said, he had been called every name in the book, including the N-word — he never felt like an inmate.
It was starting to get nasty. Vincent and Jones had a sharp but quick back-and-forth, with Jones finally reminding the room that rather than league office vice presidents, it was he and fellow owners who had helped build the NFL’s $15 billion-a-year business, and they would ultimately decide what to do. McNair later pulled Vincent aside and apologized, saying that he felt horrible and that his words weren’t meant to be taken literally, which Vincent appreciated.
