But the clear-heeled shoe is the ultimate wink. Granted, clear heels have been around for ages. Marilyn and Miss Mansfield both wore them in the ’50s, for heaven’s sake! Plus, the higher the heel, the more your breasts jut out in front, and your fanny compensates in back, resulting in what might be called, shall we say, “a provocative posture.” Adding to the illusion, in dim lighting, the heel of the shoe practically becomes invisible. This then gives the impression that, there you are, with your suddenly longer legs, tottering around adorably on your little tippie toes. “Whoops! Did I drop something? Let me bend over and get it!” Honey, he will faint.
